Kim Victoria Cattrall, born on the 21st of August, 1956 in London was the daughter of a British and Canadian actor from Canada and Britain. She was best known for her character Samantha Jones on the HBO show Sex and the City. In this role, she was awarded the Golden Globe Award for 2002 for Best Female Supporting Actor. She reprised the lead role on The Sex and the City (2008 and Sex and the City 2) (2010) films. Her main characters include Police Academy Big Trouble in Little China Mannequin, and Porky's from the'80s. Kim Cattrall will be remembered for her performance as Samantha Jones in the HBO sitcom Sex & the City. Cattrall, a noted actress, has been credited with her portrayal of Samantha Jones as a career-defining part. Most famously, she is known for her part in the comedy-drama film La Dolce Vita. The film won an Oscar as well as the Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival in 1960 and was also a commercial and critically acclaimed success. She was born in Skane, Sweden and was a model prior to when she began acting. Then she won the Miss Sweden contest. Then she moved to the US after which she started appearing in a variety of films, playing minor roles. Her debut film role was as Venusian in Abbott and Costello Go to Mars. Then, shortly after, her role on the screen in Blood Alley won her the Golden Globe for Most Promising young actor.
